Being the new girl at Book Club is awkward enough. But Anna is about to discover that this particular reading group has a rather unconventional way of welcoming new members.

When the velvet-voiced Marina invites her inside, Anna meets a wonderfully eccentric group of women: the impossibly cute Ponygirl, brooding Shae and Cindy, whose literary interests come with a mischievous streak. As Marina begins reading aloud, the lines between fiction and reality start to blur.

For Anna, this first meeting becomes an unexpected journey into queer connection and the pleasure of finding somewhere she belongs.
