Magdalene (Magdalene St. Michaels) is a philosophy professor, she's 60 years old and she's recently-widowed. Ever since her husband passed away, Magdalene has found herself wondering if she will ever find joy or even love again. She is on the brink of a depression when suddenly handsome young student Michael (Michael Delray) steps into her life. At first, Magdalene thinks he is just a very hard-working, overly ambitious student, but she realises quickly that Michael is interested in much more than just her opinion on his latest assignment. Meanwhile, her manipulative therapist tries to mess with Magdalene's newfound happiness, judging her for dating a younger man, even though she's crossing lines with a vulnerable, young male patient herself.
