The Mediterranean has a way of slowing everything down.
Alma walks along the coast, drawn by turquoise water and the sound of waves against the shore. She wades in. Lies down on the soft sand. Let the sea do what the sea does, wash everything away until only the body remains.
With every wave that caresses her skin, she feels more present, more natural, more herself. Until she feels something else entirely.
The beach has a way of making things inevitable.

What a beautiful film from first time XConfessions directors Norte & Sur. There is a real sensuality to the setting of this movie; sex and nature, especially the water, always fit so perfectly together and there is something about the rhythm of the ocean that can be so erotic. I loved the slow motion shots, the sound of the waves crashing, the sand on the skin, and of course Sylvan makes the perfect mythological sea god for Jane's imagination. Bravo!
