Who is Matt Lambert?

Matt Lambert is a distinctive queer voice in contemporary visual culture. He is a Berlin-based filmmaker, visual artist, photographer, and creative director who knows how to move across formats: film, television, fashion, advertising, music, and yes, queer adult cinema. Since his first XXX short film, FLOWER, which won Best Short Film at Porn Film Festival Berlin, we have fallen in love with his singular visual language. Projects such as Butt Muscle, created in collaboration with renowned American designer Rick Owens and American drag queen Christeene, fuse couture with radical sexual expression. Meanwhile, his hybrid documentary, HIS SWEAT, became Nowness' most viewed art house platform short film. In 2020, Lambert co-founded VITIUM in Berlin, a studio conceived as a home for explicit, artist-driven projects produced by himself and a circle of guest collaborators. VITIUM reflects Lambert’s determination t to create adult work that is autonomous, intimate, and uncompromising in its artistic intent. After years working as a commercial director in New York, Lambert relocated to Berlin, drawn by the city’s openness and the fluid cross-pollination of its creative and social scenes. There, he began incorporating his community directly into his work, building an oeuvre rooted in lived experience rather than industry conventions. This shift is also evident in Keim, his book of photographs documenting the intimate relationships of gay men in Berlin, images that are daring and explicit but yet tender and honest. Since settling in Berlin, Lambert’s practice has undergone a profound transformation. By placing his own intimacy at the core of his creative process, Lambert has found a deeper resonance, both personally and with audiences.

In 2022, we began our first collaboration with Matt Lambert on Klappe, an Erika Lust Original that captures the raw, uninhibited energy of Berlin’s queer nightclub scene, an environment defined by freedom, sex-positivity, and desire without pretense. Klappe is an alternative porn exploration with amazing blowjob scenes, anal penetration, rimming, and cumshots. It also dives into intimacy built around a reversed logic of connection: fuck first, then meet. In this space, attraction is instinctive and immediate, unfolding through bodies before words, and revealing a form of intimacy that feels primal yet human.
