Sometimes the desire we fear most is the one that defines us.
Bottom of My Heart follows a man at the edge of his own shame, finally naming a long-held want: to be pegged by his partner. What seems simple carries the weight of everything he’s been taught about gender, power, and who’s “allowed” to want what. The film unpacks those quiet, inherited rules and asks what happens when we stop performing gender and listen to the body instead.
In their private exchange, we witness consent, communication, and the kind of honesty that disarms fear. This is an invitation to unlearn shame, question the cages we call gender, and imagine a desire that belongs only to the person feeling it.
