Bri Flasch is a musician, professional photographer, videographer, and lifestyle social media creator. Flasch is the girl you probably matched with on Tinder, saw her scootering around Los Angeles, or took a photo of you at an event. They are known for their crazy outfits, blue hair, race car jackets, and trying to live her dreams more and more everyday. She lives by her own personal motto of “#doeverythingyoulove.”

2. Where are you from?
Originally Los Angeles, then Minnesota for a while, and now I’ve been back in Los Angeles for the past year. I am so happy to be back. LA feels like home.

3. Describe your personality in 3 words
Creative, courageous, and patient.

4. What makes you feel sexy?
As far as feeling sexy on my own- even though I’m asexual- I still feel hot and cool in a fun outfit that I like a lot, especially if I sewed it myself. I also love to take self portraits! Just because someone is asexual doesn’t mean they can’t feel sexy or sensual. Feeling sexy is an experience and allowing ourselves to feel this sexiness is different to everyone. (Also, blue hair!)

With a partner, I really appreciate being around someone who encourages me to be entirely myself. Feeling seen, appreciated for who I truly am, and feeling like I’m being listened to by someone else makes me feel sexy.

5. What's the best concert you've ever been to (and why)?
Any show I get to photograph! My passion for photography really started with doing music photography back when I was living in Minneapolis. I’ve been lucky to capture lots of amazing artists in the last five years as a professional photographer.

6. What's your favorite part of your body?
My favorite physical part of my body would be my hands and all of the amazing things I am able to do with them. I can take photos, make music, sew, scooter, cook etc.- I always take my hands for granted when I have acrylics on.

7. What's your favorite time to listen to music?
I always have my airpods in! I spend most of my day working on social media, photography, editing, on my computer, or scootering around Los Angeles because I have no car. I usually have my headphones in while listening to something, even when I’m sleeping. Well, “528 hz manifest your greatest dreams binaural beats for healing” lately.. (Check out my discover weekly, it’s all chakra opening soundtracks.) I also love writing concepts for songs to just random beats and instrumentals when I’m scootering around for my music.

8. How do you like to relax and unwind?
Although I am a big extrovert, I like to be alone a lot more these past couple of months. I like editing photos while listening to music or youtube social commentary videos in the background. I also love sewing, writing music in the evening, and showering. Having a self-care routine is really important too, and I enjoy going on dates and being intimate and romantic as well… but that hasn’t happened in a while.

9. What do you think is the most important quality in a lover/partner?
Passion for their hobbies, career, me, the world, others, spirit, and existence.

10. How do you get inspired?
I feel like I’m inspired by just about everything! I struggle with the condition PMDD (Pre-menstrual Dysphoria Disorder) so that can put me in a really anxious and dark place for half of the month. I feel like when I’m in those scary emotions, I am able to do shadow work and write songs about how I feel. When I’m trying to get myself out of this hole, I love to do my passions of music, photography, videography, fashion, scootering, and content creation. I just am so thankful to exist. To be able to just take everything in and experience it. To talk to other people again. Being alive inspires me, my dreams inspire me to.

Space song by beach house? (I don’t really have sex.)

2. A song you have a fun/crazy sex story about?
All I can think of was this guy trying to kiss me to my own song for CyberGirlfriend, “can we hang out another time” coming to our new E.P. July 21st “just friends 4ever.”

3. A song that always makes you feel sexy?
Keep it movin’ by Olivia O’Brien.

4. A song that you never get tired of listening to?
Drinking Games by Silver Sphere.

5. A song that reminds you of a lover?
Lover is a Day by Cuco.

Bodybag by Chloe Moriondo- I showed Chloe to my friend last time I had aux, I love her!

8. The song that best defines you?
Every little thing by CyberGirlfriend. This is my band’s most popular song. It just hit 500,000 streams on Spotify (Thank you, wow!) This has always been a goal beyond my wildest dreams. Every little thing made me realize that anything is possible, you just have to fucking do it and believe in it.

9. A song from a concert you loved?
Spy? by WHOKILLEDXIX - shoutout to subculture party Los Angeles + WHOKILLEDXIX y’all are dope.

Stupid by Ashnikko & Young Baby Tate.

Name by Spill Tab - I think this song is really honest, which I like. My favorite lyric is “and fuck you, being honest is my worst trait,” which I resonate with as I feel like I’m ‘too bold’ or ‘too honest’ sometimes. The idea of having to go from intimacy and cute names and all of that to calling someone by their real first name again when the rose colored glasses come off is such a real thing, which I think she did a great job of expressing through the song.

hornylittlelovesickmess by Girl in Red - I really like this song- not because I’m a “hornylittlelovesickmess-” but because I think this song expresses the idea of being away from lovers and friends and wondering if things will ever be the same. It illustrates the anxieties of what others think of you as life moves on and how we always go back to those late night thoughts of “what if’s.” It’s excellent and catchy.

Cry Inside My Car by Frances Forever - I love Frances Forever’s execution of this song. The entire song is great, but I think the ending with the voicemail of them seemingly crying after a shitty day of work is a feeling I haven’t ever seen expressed in a song in such a way. There are so many days that I wanted to give up during really hard times, complacent times, shitty times, boring times, and the mundane. I think Frances Forever’s voicemail at the end brought me back to exactly how it feels to be in these moments of just driving home from your job you hate.
Song on the Beach by Arcade Fire I love the movie, “her.” I honestly haven’t seen it in three years, but now I need to watch it again now that the soundtrack is out on Spotify. I could listen to this score forever, I love it.

I Wish by CyberGirlfriend - I am also coming out with solo music this fall under just my name, ‘Bri Flasch.’ This is my favorite song I’ve ever written under CyberGirlfriend. It’s about wishing that people in your life loved you for who you really are, asked you more questions, and cared enough to ask how you’re doing. It’s about wishing your relationship was more than just holding onto something that never really was. It’s about wishing I knew more about my family and old friends; people you’re too nervous to ask them to tell a story again. It’s about the people you talk shit with, but know nothing about each other deeply and the what if’s of every relationship. Finally, It’s about the fear of rejection, and putting yourself out there professionally, personally, and romantically.
