Who Is Rebecca Stewart?
Rebecca Stewart is originally from the UK, where she built her career working as a producer in news and documentary filmmaking. Drawn early on to real stories and complex human experiences, she found documentaries to be a powerful way of giving space to voices that challenge molds. Her curiosity is honest, her approach direct, and she isn’t afraid to go deep, especially when a subject is uncomfortable, stigmatized, or rarely spoken about. In 2018, Rebecca joined Erika Lust Films, where she now manages productions with a combination of sharp creative instincts and a love for spreadsheets, structure, and meticulous organization. Behind the scenes, she is known for holding space with care: for performers, for crews, and for stories that require sensitivity as much as precision. Rebecca’s filmmaking is driven by a desire to spark conversation. She is particularly interested in topics around sexuality, the body, and identity, especially where silence and shame have historically taken hold. That commitment became deeply personal when she decided to direct her first film for ERIKALUST XConfessions, drawing directly from her own life experience.

Rebecca made her directorial debut with Wash Me, an erotic short film based on her personal journey of rediscovering desire during and after breast cancer treatment. The film was created to raise awareness around how cancer impacts sexuality and was presented in collaboration with Hospital del Mar and Fundación Amics del Hospital del Mar for International Breast Cancer Day. She talked deeply about that experience in our Lustzine blog. Wash Me opens an honest dialogue about female sexuality, recovery, and the psychological importance of intimacy, and it is part of ERIKALUST's sexual wellness, which offers films that can be used as tools for adult sex education. Her work can also be felt in bold, symbolic projects like Witch, a lesbian group sex film where women reclaim language, power, and desire through ritual, sisterhood, and collective pleasure in nature. Rebecca has also been involved in shaping one of ERIKALUST’s most popular original sex series, The Art of Anal, a sensual, educational exploration of anal pleasure that prioritizes slowness, communication, and trust. Through careful storytelling and attentive production, the series reframes anal play as something intimate, beautiful, and sexy. There is so much more to explore in her work. Don`t miss the opportunity!
