Who is Thais Català?

Thais Català is a Spanish Director of Photography based in Barcelona. She works across feature films, commercials, documentaries, and music videos. She studied Cinematography at ESCAC (Escuela Superior de Cine y Audiovisuales de Catalunya), one of Spain's most prestigious film schools, graduating in 2013 and working professionally behind the camera ever since. She is an active member of Directoras de Fotografía, the Spanish collective dedicated to promoting the visibility and work of women cinematographers in that country. Thais Català has been part of the ERIKALUST creative team for a while now. Her precise, technically sharp eye is something we have always celebrated.
