Who is Trinity Tristan?

Trinity Tristan is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and porn director. She was born in London in 1989 and began exploring gender identity early in life, and underwent gender reassignment in her early twenties. That experience deeply shaped her perspective and creative practice. Fascinated by the fluidity of gender, Trinity often describes her trans journey as standing with “one foot in both sexes,” allowing her to act as a kind of mediator between genders and experiences. Through her art and films, Trinity explores the emotional milestones that come with discovering and affirming one’s identity later in life. Her work often focuses on the quiet, everyday nuances of gender realization and personal transformation. Alongside her work in porn cinema, Trinity has built a respected career in the contemporary art world. Her projects have been exhibited by institutions such as The Saatchi Gallery, and her visual work has appeared in numerous books and publications. She has worked internationally across fashion, film, music, and art as an art director, stylist, and set designer. Now based in Athens, Trinity focuses on painting and abstract expressionist work that explores the relationship between memory and objects. Using natural pigments and materials, she transforms textures, environments, and colors into layered compositions that preserve the presence of a moment. Her work includes participation in the Fragile exhibition in London alongside Marc Quinn, a bespoke series of flower paintings for Athens’ MONA Hotel, and a live performance painting at EMST, the National Museum of Contemporary Art in Athens.
