How To Give a Really, Really Good Hand Job

As we have recently covered the lost art of fingering, I thought it was only fair to shine some light on the underrated act of hand jobs. They’re something that most of us learn as a teenager and don’t really give much thought to again but it’s about time to give our hand job routine a refresh. Experiment with some new motions and next time you’re using your new skills why not serve a hand job as the main course? So, although every penis is different and it’s important to ask your penis owning partner what they like, here are some top tips on how to give a bloody good hand job…

Start slow

Don’t forget the art of the tease! Before you even take the penis out of the trousers, try slowly and gently massaging it from the outside. Build up some sexual tension and give them some time to get fully aroused before starting with more intense stimulation. Then, when you finally get it out of the pants, it’s still a good idea to start slow and keep teasing to build up anticipation.

Lube, lube, wonderful lube

You want your hand to slide over the penis smoothly, with minimal friction and tugging. Lube will allow your hands to add in new sensations that could be uncomfortable without it. Try silicone lube for something long lasting, or if you don’t have any lube to hand you can use what mother nature gave you; your spit ?

Communication

Whether your partner prefers lots of lube or just a little, or if they like a light touch or a firm touch the best way to find out is simply to ask! You can also ask them to masturbate for you before you start, that way you can watch which parts of their penis they focus on – nobody knows their body as well as themselves.

Body language

As well as communication, watching your partner’s body language is key. You’ll want to pay close attention to it during stimulation, listen to their breath, the noises they make, the way they move. But again, if you’re unsure… just ask.

Use the head

Start by grabbing the penis and wrapping your fingers around the shaft. Your pinky finger should be closest to the balls while your index finger should be closest to the top of the penis. As you stroke it up and down, rub your finger over the head of the penis. Lube makes this technique much easier for you and more satisfying for the receiver.

Don’t forget the balls!

You can use one hand to give a hand job, whilst using your free hand to massage the testicles. Fondling the balls is the easiest way to play with them; cup them in your hands and play with them using your fingers. Or, you can take them into your hand and softly squeeze them. If you’re feeling a bit more adventurous you could also take the balls into your mouth and gently suck them whilst working your magic with your hand.

The sweet spots

There are three sensitive spots around the penis that you should pay extra attention to:

• The frenulum – this is the area on the underside of the penis where the head meets the shaft. It’s really sensitive so you can use your thumbs to put light pressure on the spot or make sure you move your hand across it as you stroke.

• The perineum – this is the sweet spot between the base of the scrotum and the anus. You can apply pressure here with the fingers of your free hand. If they enjoy this you can also ask your partner if they would like you to play with their anus.

• The tip – the head of the penis is packed full of nerve endings so it can be a really hot place to focus on. When you stroke up and down make sure you bring your hand all the way up over the tip before going back down.

Two hands

Hand jobs are pretty versatile, especially when you get two hands involved. It requires a bit more effort and coordination on your part but if you’ve got two hands you may as well use them. You can use them both moving up and down the penis in tandem, or you can also try moving your hands down the penis one after another so that when one hand reaches the base of the penis, the other hand moves down. Keep going so it’s a seamless motion and it will feel like endless penetration for the person receiving. Or, you can use one hand to wrap around the base of the shaft (imagine forming a type of cock ring) as your other hand does the stroking.

Hit me with your rhythm stick

Rhythm is crucial. You can speed up or slow down as a tease, but once you start going it’s good to remain consistent. It’s also good to check in on them and ask if they want it faster or slower. When they’re about to come you can start stroking the penis faster, but don’t go too hard!

Experiment with different positions

Last but not least, a good hand job requires leverage so laying side by side and trying to reach around to touch the goods isn’t always the optimal position. Instead you can try sitting in between their legs while he lies flat on their back, or have them drape their legs over the side of the bed while you kneel on the floor. The most important thing is to find a position that you’re comfortable in.
